Case #5 decodable

Walt Disney's Cinderella (Disney Princess)

ISBN: 9780736423625
Publication Date:  08/23/2005

Cinderella is a girl who has evil stepsisters goes to a dance falls in love with the prince and she runs away to hide her true identity then the prince finds her, and they live happily
ever after.

I really like this decodable book. The little golden book series takes classic books like Cinderella and makes them appropriate for young children to develop literacy skills. Personally, I have so many of the little golden book series they are classic!

I would rate this book a 4 out of 5.

  1. Hi Julianne,
This brings back memories from childhood. However, I would argue that this is not a decodable book. Remember a decodable book is a book where the text is controlled by a specific phonics skills to give new readers practice reading. Such as " The cat sat on the mat." All the words have the _at word family. This cinderella book is a better example of the classic fairy tale.
